Job Description:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is representing a large dairy located in Colorado who is seeking a Calf Yard Supervisor for their operation. This position is responsible for the feeding, care and observation of the young stock while maintaining the equipment and the general facilities of the calf yard. This job is to be performed efficiently to supervise employees, facilitate the feeding of young stock, cleaning of the facilities, bedding the hutches and calves, maintaining the equipment, keeping the calf yard clean and many other items related to the general facilities. It is required of this person to make decisions in those necessary cases in the event of abnormal circumstances, all the while promoting safety. Managing employee schedules and use of their time on the facilities efficiently is important. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment is also a requirement. The position of the Calf Yard Supervisor is to be the eyes and ears of the calf yard.  Person for this position sees every aspect of the calf yard from all points of view. The position involves work on a self-determined basis as it may be required to remain at the calf yard for extended periods of time due to circumstances that may arise.
