This Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT candidate started in Fruit Production, running picking crews of 200 people on a 1000-acre fruit farm. Advanced to running the packing house/ cold storage/ shipping facility with 50 employees. Eventually, he became general manager running peach packing and apple packing lines and apple cider production and bottling plant. His experience than took him to a University in New Jersey overseeing operations on a 250-acre research farm which included a lab/office building. He established and maintained research faculty and grad student’s research plots consisting of tree fruit, small fruit, nut trees, and ornamentals. His responsibility included the upkeep of the farm and buildings, the installation of 3 new greenhouses, 5 overwintering houses, a pole barn for equipment and various upgrades to the irrigation system. They did all our own repairs and maintenance on the equipment. He had 10 employees that reported to him when he started there. He is certified in Industrial Lift Equipment and has vast experience with Irrigation Systems.
