This Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT candidate began with experience in Iowa on the farm he grew to a larger farm with added responsibilities and more acres. He worked on custom harvest crews during and after college, moving on to crop scouting in southwest Kansas, farm operation in southwest Kansas and southeast Colorado, both irrigated and dryland, mainly corn and wheat. He worked in the seed industry in wheat and sorghum, moving on to parent line increases in corn, wheat, and specialty crops, including early GMO increases. He has experience with replicated plot work and breeding nurseries. He moved on to farm management and real estate as a step in his career and was called back to regional work with cellulosic bioenergy crops, leading to overseas opportunity, and now his own small startup operation, which is flexible as to demands on his time. He has an education in Agronomy, and experience in the science and practice of seed and crop production. He seeks a responsible and rewarding opportunity in crop production, where equipment and technology is utilized, where natural resources are conserved with a definite ethic of stewardship, where he and any other staff are People, where we prosper because we earned it.
