Ranch / Feedlot

Candidate Description:

This Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT candidate’s most recent employment opportunities have been as a ranch and feedyard manager. He has experience leading multigenerational employees to achieve set goals and the overall vision of the operation. He prides himself on being a manager who leads by example and encourages employees to improve when needed. He spent seven years managing a ranch in Missouri and developing and fine-tuning rotational grazing management, which left him with a desire for increased land stewardship wherever he is employed. He enjoys the challenges of the feedyard setting and has crafted his skill set to include morning bunk reading, ration adjustments, spotting and prompt treatment of sick animals, the ability to grow and finish cattle in different stages of development and timely and complete maintenance of the property. As an AI technician his projects have achieved optimal conception rates. He has enjoyed being a student of genetics, starting with his employment at a cattle genetics company which led to the development of his own breeding and consultation business. He has spent time studying and implementing EPD’s and phenotype of cattle for both the maternal and terminal aspects of a balanced breeding philosophy. He and his family are looking for an opportunity to work with a progressive organization that emphasizes the value of family, morality, and ethics. He would welcome the chance to discuss, in more detail, your vision for the long-term success your operation and how his diversified skills in the beef industry can translate into continued success for your operation.
