This Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT candidate grew up on the family ranch and is still involved as Part Owner/Operator. He has furthered his career by earning his bachelor’s degree in animal science at Colorado State University and experience through employment at a feedyard. He is currently Yard Department Manager responsible for environmental compliance of daily feedlot production and corresponding records. He directs teams by planning, delegating work monitoring performance and executing disciplinary measures when necessary. He oversees and directs scheduled maintenance and repairs of feedlot facilities and equipment. Develops and analyzes current and future financial statements to create financial value. Coordinates and collaborates with various managers and external contractors to identify issues and make strategic decisions. Coordinates feedlot farm production and cultivation. Previously he was Cattle Department Manager responsible for inventory management and purchasing decisions of pharmaceuticals by evaluation current herd health, supply and other factors. He redesigned the inventory management and accounting procedures to ensure more accurate reporting and financial impact. He carried out managerial duties, which included hiring, training and appraising employee performance.
