Lead Farm Position / Supervisor / Farm Equipment Operator

Candidate Description:

This candidate has an Associates degree in Agribusiness/Science Technology. He has a CDL. He has experience working on the family farm. He has been with his last employer for about 10 years where he has worked as a supervisor preparing equipment for planting season, main planter operator during planting season, supervisor of the operators of the detasseling machines, scouting crops, and supervisor of the plant operations during harvest which includes the husking and drying of the seed corn, preparing reference sheets for the movement of untreated corn to be cleaned, and helping employees when needed.  Training for this job includes: fork lift operating, planting female rows of seed corn using FM1000 GPS and 20/20 precision planting system. He has experience supervising up to 16 employees and supervision is something he really enjoys. He indicates his strong points are his customer relation skills and are equally effective when working with supervisors and co-workers. He is self-motivated and hard working, able to work independently. He indicates he has a positive attitude and has a high interest in production farming. He has proven problem solving, decision making and time management skills. This candidate is open to most locations, but prefers High Plains states. He would like to get away from the seed production end of it and more back into commercial row crop production.
