This candidate was born and raised in the Texas Panhandle. He started working with a construction and remodeling company when he was in high school and has continued to add to those skills since that time. After high school he worked for a construction company as an equipment operator where he was trained to operate a wide variety of machines and operate them correctly. While attending college in West Texas he maintained a small ranch for wildlife and recreation where he started to develop a passion for ranch development and maintenance. During college he spent a summer with a guest ranch in Southern Colorado where his passion for ranch care and development continued to grow. While there he started to become familiar with hay land management and operating hay equipment, as well as flood irrigation practices in high elevations. He finished college and he went to work on a dairy heifer replacement lot. They managed 1600 head of replacements ranging from 300 lbs to 1400 lb. Through those years he gained working experience in herd health and management, feedlot practices, shipping and receiving locally and internationally, as well as flood irrigating and pasture management. After college he managed a guest ranch as a property manager, everything from guest relations to employee supervision to land management. He's currently overseeing an orchard farming operation and small cow calf herd. He's in charge of most day-to-day operations, as well as marketing their calves in the fall.
He also enjoys working with and caring for horses and has spent the last two years developing his skills as a farrier.
His strongest assets to any team is his willingness to work and his readiness to accept responsibility. He's been in a supervisor roles for the past nine years and he's learned what it means to be a manager and the ability to keep employees motivated.
