This Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT candidate has experience growing up on a 400-500 head commercial cow/calf operation in west Texas. Established a foundation not only of the required skills, but also hard work, honesty, integrity, respect and efficiency. After graduating with a B.S. in wildlife management with a concentration in production, he worked for a 600-head cow/calf operation in south Texas where he managed the day-to-day operations and supervised one full-time and several part time employees. From there he moved to a 5,000 head cow/calf and stocker operation encompassing 215,000 acres in south Texas. His main responsibility was the management of an 18,500-acre unit of 435 cows, where he provided support to upper and mid management on other duties and projects. He would lead working crews of 8-12 men and supervise part time and seasonal labor. He will finish with my M.S. in ranch management in May 2020. He is looking for a cow/calf and or stocker operation where he can apply the knowledge and skills he has obtained over the past several years. He and his wife are ready to become established within a community and organization where he can serve long term and apply the skills he has developed. They love the ranching community and are committed to the beef industry, desiring to make an impact by being excellent stewards of the land, livestock and resources. His abilities with people, horses, cows, roping, financial analysis and managerial accounting would be a great asset for an organization in need of a professional ranch manager or assistant manager.
