  • Post-secondary education in marketing, insurance or other related area is an asset
  • General Insurance license within the first two months of contract
  • Driver's license
  • 2-3 years sales and/or marketing experience is an asset
  • 2-3 years' experience working in the insurance industry is an asset
  • 2-3 years experience working in financial services is an asset
  • An understanding of the agriculture industry is a requirement
  • Ability to build trust and foster strong business relationships

Job Description

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is representing an agricultural business who is seeking Advisors to work directly with farmers in their respective geographical location to market insurance. Identify leads and fill sales funnel with qualified prospects. Work with farmers to understand their personal business scenario, risk management needs, and insurance goals. Fosters strong business relationships with Producers and other industry professionals.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Uses various means to source leads and prospective customers (i.e.: referrals, networking, etc.)
  • Provides education and training to farmers about risk management and Company
  • Act in accordance with their respective state insurance regulations (note: all sales staff are required to have the required insurance licensing) We help with this.
  • Build and maintain relationships with various agriculture stakeholders (banks, accountants, retailers), with the goal of educating them on what company offers, and generating leads.
  • Facilitate Producer meetings in various locations
  • Assists administration staff with tradeshow preparation and work the booth, providing support where needed
  • Create annual business plan with Regional Sales Manager with agreed upon deliverables.
  • Directly involved in resolving any producer conflicts and/or complaints
  • Ensures proactivity to market by performing cold calls to industry partners
  • Assists in marketing/promotional activities as needed
  • Assists office team with calls to producers as needed
