JOB QUALIFICATIONS: - 4 year Ag-related degree preferred - Self-directed with entrepreneurial spirit and solid Ag business acumen - 5 or more years of retail sales experience selling Ag chemicals, fertilizer, seed or other Ag-related products - Solid agronomic knowledge / understanding - Relationship-Builder with willingness to identify and call on current and prospective customers - Strong customer-service focus with excellent communication skills, negotiation skills, time management skills and analytical problem-solving skills - Experience with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook - Employer has a preference for individual currently residing/working in Southeastern South Dakota or looking to relocate back to this area
JOB DESCRIPTION: Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is seeking a proven Ag-related Sales Manager for a well-established Ag Retailer located in southeastern South Dakota. The current sales team will work closely with this Sales Manager to develop and implement a plan to deliver on annual sales objectives, outlining key customers, negotiating best opportunities, and making monthly on-site calls to customers. Together they will create a personal sales plan that includes specific sales goals per customer and how those results will be achieved. Additional responsibilities to include: - Generating timely sales forecasts and sales reports through spreadsheets - Executing sales plans with customers, fellow employees and with vendors - Developing a profitable business plan including key areas for growth - Working closely with key customers and prospective customers - Positioning high-end Ag products to help sales staff reach developed goals - Meeting with suppliers, managing relationships, and understanding key products to help grow business of the organization - Monitoring product flow and forecasts to maximize their net return
