Job Description:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is representing a large dairy operation located in Texas who is searching for a Assistant Dairy Manager. Assistant Dairy Manager will assist General Manager with day-to-day management of all dairy activities. Manage intensive grazing systems while maintaining milk production and healthy cows. Monitor feed bunk and milking parlors to ensure they are constantly managed and maintained. Monitor concentrated animal feeding operation program and lagoons to maintain compliance. Complete written or oral reports as required by General Manager and maintain open communication with employees, coworkers and supervisors. Teach new employees to properly work with animals and monitor all employees for proper treatment. Report any mistreatment to General Manager in adherence to “no tolerance policy.” Organize employees’ scheduling to have complete teams at all times in all departments for on-time and consistent practices. Recognize employees that have the potential to be supervisors and assist them with their growth. Monitor rolling equipment to verify proper use and maintenance. Repair or source someone to repair the facilities as necessary.
