- Knowledge of Pivot Irrigation a must
- Knowledge of Corn, Alfalfa, Dry Edible Beans a plus
- Must have strong communication skills with ability to work as a team
- Welding, maintenance, and repair skills are all a plus
- Cow/Calf background us a plus, but not needed as it has its own ranch manager and employees


Hansen Agri-Placement is in search of a strong candidate for Assistant Farm Manager in northeast Colorado. The current manager is wanting to step down and retire, so looking for a person with strong management possibilities. Looking for an individual that has preferably been around center pivot irrigation. Someone who has management capabilities, but doesn't mind getting their hands dirty. Much of the farm is custom farmed corn, alfalfa, and dry edible beans. As manpower possibly increases, may do more of the actual farm work. The majority of the responsibility will be irrigation and keeping up with 18+ pivots. All irrigation wells are currently electric. Currently do all the irrigation, cultivation, rodent control on alfalfa, and some field prep work. Looking for an individual that diverse, have strong communication, record keeping, maintenance, and machinery upkeep skills. Salary is open and will be determined on Skill Set, Experience, Stability, and References. A strong benefits package with Retirement and Insurance being provided.
