Job Description:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is representing a large dairy operation located in Texas who is searching for a Barn Manager for their facility. The Barn Manager is responsible for the overall productivity and performance of the heartbeat of this dairy farm, the milking barn. This employer believes that if they take care of their cows, their cows will take care of them. The barn manager’s role in this will be ensuring that the cows are being taken care of during the milking process.
  • The Dairy’s goal is that each and every cow on this farm is milked properly, completely, and in a minimal stress environment. An effective Barn Manager will achieve this goal by leading, teaching, inspecting, and inspiring a complete milking crew in carrying out proper milking procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Providing leadership for the milking shifts
  • Ensuring a complete labor force at all times
  • Recruiting new employees
  • Training each employee for his or her position
  • Monitoring adherence to protocols and procedures
  • Implementing any changes to protocols and procedures
  • Keeping records of performance as requested
  • Overseeing equipment sanitation
  • Keeping a neat and orderly milking barn
  • Performing regular barn & parlor maintenance
  • Other duties as required
