QUALIFICATIONS
:

- MBA preferred; BS or BA required, preferably in an Ag-Related or Sales & Marketing degree program
- Minimum 10 years of sales leadership experience following a customer-centric sales approach, preferably within the Crop Protection or Fertilizer industry
- Must have in-depth knowledge of key competitors, products and customer accounts in the crop inputs industry with an established Ag distribution channel network in place
- Specialty fertilizer experience highly beneficial
- Must have a technical disposition with ability to understand/sell Ag products based on performance capability
- Demonstrated experience rolling out a new product or product line into the Ag market space
- Proven experience mentoring/guiding/retaining successful sales talent
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills with ability to share clear, relevant messages within the organization and to customers and sales team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skill set
- Demonstrated ability to professionally and effectively solve problems and challenges
- Ability to understand and analyze relevant information to drive data-informed strategies and decisions
- Change management experience beneficial
- Ability to travel to 50%
- Self-directed with ability to work remotel

DESCRIPTION:
Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is seeking a Chief Sales Officer for a new division of an established Agricultural organization. The ideal individual will have experience leading the sales strategy of an organization to meet and grow sales revenue targets. This CSO will provide oversight/management of the sales team and will serve as a member of the executive leadership team. Additionally, this CSO will:
- Oversee planning and execution of company sales strategy aimed at driving revenue growth
- Perform revenue forecasting and report progress to President
- Drive company strategy for customer acquisition
- Work cross-functionally with Chief Agronomy Officer to foster collaboration
- Hire, develop and retain top sales talent
- Implement effective sales enablement tactics to improve sales efficiencies
- Have the ability to navigate organizational and marketplace complexities to bring bottom line results
