- Bachelors Degree in Ag Science, Agri-business or related. Employer will consider a combination of education and experience
- Minimum 5 years in Cotton Gin Operation and/or management
- Experience managing gin financials (business plan and P&L)
- Experience in maintenance, trouble-shooting and repair of gin equipment
- Basic computer skills with MS-Office Suite of softwares and similar
- Experience with PLC based automation equipment; operation and trouble-shooting
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting an established Ag Employer in their search for a Cotton Gin General Manager for their Central U.S. plant. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter with supervisory cotton gin experience. Other responsibilities include:


- Oversee ginning operations, equipment upkeep and maintenance
- Manage the P&L financials of the gin including development of a business plan (annual budget) and reporting monthly results to the board of directors.
- Train personnel on Operating procedures and Safety
- Receive producer bales maintaining accurate records of Bale ID number and classing data
- package and ship bale samples for classing as required
- Ensure efficient utilization of equipment and personnel
- Handle logistics of bales in storage warehouse
- Oversee operating and safety protocols according to OSHA standards
- Market cotton seed and gin trash to potential buyers.
- Market and facilitate shipment of bales from plant.
- Oversee the proper staffing of the gin, both full-time and seasonal.
