- Ability to operate within a tightly controlled track and trace environment
- Expert level knowledge of all growing mediums, nutrient regimens, cultivation methodologies, environmental requirements and cultivation techniques
- Have a basic understanding of cannabis laws, rules and regulations set forth by the state
- Fundamental knowledge, as well as the ability to be taught and guided in areas related to cultivation with other areas being taught as the employee shows interest while still maintaining their capabilities as a cultivation technician
- Must understand and implement the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of the company and the cultivation department
- Adhere to company mission statement, while maintaining high ethical standards and professionalism
- Must work well with others and ability to adapt quickly to changes in policy, procedure, methods and technique
- Use of independent judgment regarding product processing, keeping quality, projections and goals in mind
- Minimum age of 21 years or older and pass a criminal background check
- Degree in Business Management, Horticulture, Agriculture or another related field preferred
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in cultivation and/or production management
- Relevant agricultural or plant knowledge is required; Cannabis experience a plus
- Expertise indoor cultivation and with automated climate control indoor systems
- May require working rotating shifts with varied hours/day, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events
- Proven project management skills and experience managing complex deadlines
- Pesticide applicators license


Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for an experienced Cultivation General Manager for this northern California cannabis company. Manage the cultivation team across propagation, cultivation, harvest, drying, curing and trimming. Operate and maintain the three-acre outdoor to maximum productivity and efficiency. Manage field set-up, pot filling, transplanting etc. Manage harvest, drying and trimming activity with regular communication to management and supply chain. Maintain product quality post-harvest and fulfill orders as needed. Maintain freezer building and ensure preservation of fresh frozen product. Manage execution of all plant maintenance, fertigation programs, IPM, etc. Forecast production and inventory as needed with supply and distribution. Manage pest pressure using IPM and environmental control techniques. Generate cultivation protocols and fertilization program including spray schedule and nutrient feeding schedule. Assess plant health, monitor and create regular solutions to issues. Be proactive with security protocols as needed. Maintain farm equipment, drying rooms, and product quality post-harvest. Maintain a clean, pest and disease-free environment. Ensure all practices and activities are compliant, mange harvest and product transfer through METRC.
