QUALIFICATIONS:

- Need 3+ years verified plant to harvest and irrigation experience
- Routine maintenance and general repairs are a must, while welding, fabrication, and additional mechanical skills are a plus
- Prefer good agronomy experience
- Willing to train the right person to run the sprayer
- Irrigation experience with center pivots is a plus
- Willingness to assist with the cattle when needed, weaning, branding, and processing as needed
- Team player, strong communication skills, positive attitude, and passion for production agriculture is a must
- CDL and good driving record is a plus

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a Farm Equipment Operator for a progressive farm in south central Kansas. Need someone who is a team player and hard working for the long-term. Main focuses of this position would be to assist with planting, run irrigation, and operate a combine or truck in harvest and stripper for cotton harvest while jumping in where needed. The farm has late-model John Deere equipment and excellent facilities including shop. Prefer a candidate who has a good maintenance background. Farm does not work Sundays except checking irrigation for a couple months in the summer and if they are off, they wait until Monday to fix them. There may be some checking cattle in the winter on Sundays depending on the weather. Need someone who takes pride in what they do. Farm offers a great working environment with long-term opportunities. The area is great for a spouse to find off-farm employment and is an area with good schools, good progressive community and plenty of entertainment choices for a family. E.O.E. and salary are dependent on not only experience and skill set but also stability and references.
