Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a Farm Crew Leader for this large southwestern Kansas operation. Crew Leader will be assigned to a variety of jobs throughout the season, as well as other custom jobs during the winter months. The Crew Leader works under the General Manager in ensuring that best practices are established and maintained, and that all activities meet or exceed the goals of the company’s mission statement.

- Strives to maintain a smooth operation by ensuring efficiency, planning, human resources, and safety procedures
- Plans daily activities for the crew which includes fields to be harvested, routes to drive and unloading sites – includes transporting workers to and from work areas, as needed
- Communicates predetermined starting time and attendance with crews, communicating changes to the schedule
- Ensure drivers’ paperwork is being done correctly, with field names, loads, etc.
- Consistent and complete submission of Manager Field Report
- Daily Communication with account manager from front office
- Oversee truck and chopper preventative maintenance including schedule and completeness
- Maintain communication with Mechanic, including requests for trucks and equipment needed from central hub
- Maintain communication with customer, farmer, superiors, drivers, and chopper operators
- Logistics for new jobs – meet with customer or farmer to determine locations and procedures
- Procure lodging, identify restaurants, parts suppliers, fuel, etc.
- Plan routes, getting field information, scale location and procedure
- Arrange for payments to hotels and suppliers, utilizing charge account system when possible (avoid use of American Express card)
- Organize receipts including detail on receipt showing specific job and identification of what it was for (piece of equipment, etc.)
- Conflict resolution and discipline
- Maintain and promote professionalism at all times with customers, employees, peers, and places of business such as motels/restaurants, etc.
- Ensure that employees are following and abiding by company polices (cell phone use, drug/alcohol, credit card use, etc.)
- All other duties as assigned
