QUALIFICATIONS:

- Need an ambitious individual with solid hay production and harvest background
- Crop protection experience. Pesticide and herbicide
- Good equipment operating skills
- Good maintenance skills, fabrication, mechanical, and welding skills are needed
- Strong communication skills and work ethic
- Basic record keeping experience
- Prior Supervisory experience
- Reliable, responsible and dependable
- Must have a Valid drivers license

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for experienced Alfalfa Hay Production Foreman for this south-central Arizona hay farm. Prefer to find a Hay Foreman who can hit the ground running. Prefer 5 years related operational and supervisory experience overseeing alfalfa hay farm operations; putting up hay, managing water, storage, etc. to lead and prioritize the daily operation of the farm. This operation normally has 8-10 cuttings per season, so planning, scheduling and project management experience is preferred. Person must have strong equipment operating skills, mechanical aptitude and hay storage management experience. This foreman will be responsible and accountable for quality compliance, environmental stewardship and inventory control, efficiencies with respect to labor, production, overhead and assist with operational budget. Person will provide supervision and direct a small group of employees. Foreman must demonstrate clear integrity and a sense of ethics and responsibility to the farm and its employees on a daily basis and serve as a model for others, while helping manage relationships with neighbors, community leaders and regulatory agencies. Person must have knowledge of safety policies and procedures regarding chemicals and equipment/machinery. Person will effectively implement, improve and reinforce the company’s environmental health and safety programs and product food safety programs. Person will need excellent communication skills and be Bilingual English-Spanish.
