QUALIFICATIONS:

- Planting through harvest experience highly preferred
- Prefer a Class A CDL or at least have good experience driving tractor/trailer
- Welding, mechanical ability, pivot irrigation experience preferred
- Experience with late model farm equipment
- Assist with cow/calf herd
- Must be a team player

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a good Farm Assistant for this western Nebraska producer. This is a family farming and cattle operation. The farming operations runs on about 11,000 acres growing sugar beets, pinto beans, corn, and wheat. There is a 300 head cow/calf herd and 4,000 head feedyard. Currently, there are 6 full time employees and three full time working owners. Looking for a dependable employee to join the team and grow along with the farm. This position will mostly include hauling grain, irrigation, tractor work, and equipment maintenance. Main focus of this position is crop production but occasionally will need to help with fencing, moving, and processing cattle. They take Sundays off except during planting and harvest. Most weekends are off in the winter. There is a heated shop for winter maintenance. These qualifications are all preferred. They are willing to train the right candidate. Work vehicle will be provided. This is a family friendly operation in a small community. There are a lot of opportunities for spousal employment locally. Wages are negotiable and dependent on experience.
