- 5-10 years of current experience in row crop production
- Solid crop production background with plant through harvest experience is a must
- Good understanding and current experience with precision equipment and using Ag Leader is a plus
- Needs to be mechanically inclined to handle routine maintenance & general repair
- Must have a clean/good driving record and ability to drive tractor/trailer
- Looking for individual that is motivated, long-term and career-minded with a passion for agriculture
- Must be able to work independently and be trustworthy and responsible
- Excellent commutation skills and ability to work as a team player during busy times, but also self-motivated and work independently much of the year
- Must be a self-starter, easy going and have the ability to get along with seasonal help and neighbors in the community


Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for an independent Farm Lead for this southeastern North Dakota producer. Candidate needs to be mechanically inclined with ability to handle general maintenance and repair. One must have and experience with precision equipment/GPS as they are currently using Ag Leader. During the off-season candidate will assist in farm tillage work when permissible, trucking, but also have flexibility of time off during the winter months is so chooses. Farm runs later model John Deere equipment, but all is in good repair. This is mostly a corn and soybean operation 50/50 rotation, but some years may also include some spring wheat when price is good. The primary responsibilities of the Farm Lead is the operation of equipment used in planting thru harvesting of crops. The duties of the position vary with the seasons and the needs of the operation, so it is important this individual is willing to adapt to changing circumstances, is flexible and has a good attitude. Need someone who takes pride in what they do and who is a self-motivated individual with a strong agriculture background and solid character. Must be able to take direction, have a neat appearance, good work ethic, and a passion for farming. Should have good problem-solving skills, the handiness to find and build solutions when the need arises, able to handle multiple demands, be flexible, and able to adapt to last minute changes. Candidate also needs to be able to work and get along with others and be willing to help others when needed and to be a team player. No livestock responsibilities, so there is some down time early in the winter months. Pay depends on the experience in row crop production skills, this job can and will be financially rewarding depending on the performance. This is a family operation with absentee owner that is searching for a long-term employee who can operate independently and grow along with the farm. Good churches and schools located within smaller communities nearby on asphalt roads in both directions. Larger community with access to additional supplies, shopping and entertainment is about hour away. Area also has great hunting for deer, grouse, pheasant, fox, & coyote. E.O.E. with salary dependent on experience, stability, and references.
