- BS Agronomy or related fields a plus
- Prefer 5 years of experience farming Cotton crops
- 5+ years of experience in management role within a comparable structure or operation
- Experience managing people
- Demonstrated expertise in Crop Production
- Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to professionally represent the farm in business and environmental areas
- Demonstrated understanding of operational planning
- Excellent judgement and problem-solving skills
- Know cow and calves, general animal health skills needed

We are looking for a Farm Manager to manage day-to-day operations for this Texas panhandle farm. This individual will have the following responsibilities: This person will work into managing day-day crop production operations and farm personnel. Executing the existing crop plan. Working with agronomists to refine the crop plan. Finding and purchasing crop inputs.


Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for an experienced Farm Manager for this Texas crop producer. This person will lead farm production operations with primary focus on maximizing quality and revenue through their cropping operations. Ability to effectively lead and motivate their team in the direction of the outlined by management. Coordinates with owner for crop management activities, including the preparations for future growth, as outlined in the Farm Business Plan. Communicates with owner on daily assessments of the farm and its goals. Monitors the effectiveness of implemented crop management strategies to ensure goals are being met. Assists in the recruitment, hiring, and training of Farm employees, and effectively manages personnel schedules and conflicts. Communicates with owner to ensure infrastructure, equipment, and tools are in good working order as necessary. Maintains regular and effective communication with owner on progress, budget, opportunities, and risks. Assist in purchases; supplies, equipment, and contracts for necessary operations, meticulously tracking expenses and managing the annual budget. Help engage with contractors on large-scale projects such as buildings and infrastructure. Builds relationships with potential customers. Maintains strong local relationships through regular and open communication. Able to handle other duties as required or assigned. Needs to be self-motivated and able to motivate others. Practical experience with herd management, nutrition, equipment, asset management, property maintenance and management are required. Other responsibilities include: Health: Nutrition, vaccination protocols, doctoring/diagnosing, breeding, calving, proper tagging, commercial herd, maintain cattle records, culling, etc. Improvements: Maintain corrals, sheds and other buildings, fences, roads, maintain trucks, equipment, build/implement new improvements. Cattle Movement: Move/keep cattle where they are supposed to be, range health, manage for excellent up-trending range health, keep grazing chart record, etc.
