- Advanced degree in horticulture, organic agriculture, or equivalent preferred
- 10+ years of extensive Organic Farm experience of growing vegetables, herbs, and/or leafy greens in commercial operations
- Experience in food safety and food handling on a professional level, from Harvest through processing, to cold storage, and distribution
- Previous management and supervisory experience required while being a strong communications, leadership, and hands-on, day-to-day team management skills
- Operations is currently utilizing year around growing using both outside and greenhouse production
- Seeking to expand dramatically, need someone that is comfortable w/ advanced farm automation, data based decision making, working through change that comes with expansion
- Self-motivated, fore sight, and ability to think out of the box, while one is highly organized with attention to detail
- Bilingual in Spanish would be a plus, but not required


Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for an Organic Farm Operations Manager for a northern New York organic operation which has a twelve-month growing season through use of soil greenhouse production but also utilize additional production with outdoor organics on some 250 acres. In addition, maintain environmental acreage; ponds, wetlands, trees, etc. as a critical component of the world's leading regenerative farm model well into the future. Function will be to maximize the quality and diversified output of the organic farm areas, greenhouse operation, advanced automation, supervision of the staff which consists of up to 20 people, and ongoing communication with the ownership, the community, as well as our customers. Majority of the work will be dealing with extensive vegetable and bed preparation; consisting of greenhouse management, seeding, transplanting, planting, harvesting produce in a sustainable, progressive, and certified organic fashion. Will oversee and run all farm operations maintain all farm equipment, achieve or exceed crop production targets, process harvested crops into category-leading packaged goods for discerning customers. Will also need outstanding written and oral communication skills required to convey information, gather and disseminate information, and problem solve.
