- Prefer good experience with crop production
- Welding, mechanical abilities needed
- Experience with later model farm equipment
- Assist with cow/calf herd
- Prefer they know cows and calves, assist with feeding, doctoring, calving etc.
- Must be a team player


Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a good Farm/Ranch Assistant for this southeastern South Dakota producer. Looking for a motivated, honest, reliable and diversified individual with farm and cow/calf experience. Duties to include operating tractors, row-crop and haying equipment, fertilizing, planting, cultivating and harvesting crops. Person should be able to observe and listen to machine operation to detect malfunctions and then repair and maintain farm vehicles and implements as needed. This person will assist with hay feeding in winter and calving. Must be able to work independently and with others, being able to communicate and convey important job information. This position will have a certain amount of responsibility in a diversified farm and ranch operation.
Duties include:
- The operation, maintenance and repair of equipment.
- Prefer experience or desire to learn GPS and the mapping equipment used while planting, spraying and harvesting.
- The more maintenance and mechanical skills and background the better.
- Possess sound judgment and have a solid work ethic. Need to be honest and a self-starter.
- Need to know Crops and Cow/Calf Production
