- BS Degree in Animal Science is a plus, management experience is a must
- 5+ years management experience in a cow/calf operation with purebred is needed
- Self-starter, highly motivated with ability to complete a project as well as start one
- Prepare annual farm regenerative grazing budget while managing expenses in accordance to the budget
- Ability to schedule, prepare, and manage annual cattle sale along with private treaty sales of livestock during year
- Desire to learn and improve process of the operation in addition to accurate cattle records being kept
- Ability to work long hours and be flexible, especially during calving season and other peak times of the year
- Knowledge of farm equipment maintenance and repair of equipment are needed
- A valid driver's license is a must
- Ability to operate different types of equipment in a safe and responsible manner
- Basic AI & embryo skills and knowledge is a must
- Bilingual is a plus


Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a Purebred Manager for a cow/calf operation in Alabama with a positive track record. Seeking someone who will manage and continue to grow and promote 500+ cow/calf with two purebred lines along with 500+ head of commercial cows in calving, tagging newborn calves, record keeping, castration, de-worming, vaccination programs, as well as development of heifers and bulls for annual sale and private treaty. A person should have good knowledge of ranch equipment maintenance including some row crop for forage and hay for the ranch. Prefer an eye for detail while having good communication, personnel skills, and analytical skills with a desire to learn, leadership of the crew, and completion of task at hand. Also will need strong customer service skills in working with our customers and continue to grow our sales of bulls and heifers. The location is ideal for a spouse to secure employment, good schools and entertainment at hand. E.O.E. & salary/wages will be determined by the skills, over all experience, stability, and references the candidate brings to the table.
