- High School Diploma required. Associates degree (A.A.) or higher preferred

- Three to five years of experience in feed mill or grain facility.
- Five years of management experience required.
- Extensive knowledge of pelleting and pellet mills is a plus.
- Excellent Communication and organizational skills required.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Ability to do basic math- adding, subtracting, dividing, and multiplying.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to keep up with required paperwork and logs.
- Individual must be dedicated, motivated, able to work independently and capable of effectively leading others.
- Basic computer, email and data entry skills are necessary.
- Must maintain a valid driver's license and clean Motor Vehicle Record.


Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting an established Ag Employer in their search for an experienced Feed Mill Manager for their Oklahoma facility. As the Feed Mill Manager, you will be responsible for directing the daily operations of the feed mill, including but not limited to feed manufacturing and delivery while ensuring compliance with all governmental regulations and agencies including FDA, OSHA, and DOT. Duties will include:

Daily Operations
- Overseeing all feed production and delivery activities.
- Working closely with sales and related vendors to ensure high quality, cost effective feed production.
- Work with purchasing personnel to schedule incoming ingredients and inventory management.
- Understanding and ensuring compliance with all transportation, environmental, and feed production regulations and policies.
- Directing all feed transportation operations with focus on efficiency, safety, value and timeliness.
- Coordinating and monitoring all feed production equipment, facilities, truck maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure that repair records are being maintained.
- Comparing and approving the purchasing of all tools, parts, and materials needed for the feed manufacturing department.
- Assisting in the maintenance, upgrade, or modifications of company mill either by direct involvement in project or through reviewing cost competitive bids.
- Providing information and recommendations to upper management related to feed production/transport and related cost reduction opportunities.
- Developing, communicating, and enforcing all feed production and delivery-related policies and procedures.

- Establish and communicate expectations to all feed mill employees.
- Responsible for training of all feed mill employees on COMPANY Policies & Procedures.
- Teach staff to work as a team and lead by example.
- Assist other team members with time management and skill development.
- Meet regularly with employees for production discussion and problem solving.
- Evaluate all employees and perform evaluations with upper management team.
- Working with HR Department in interviewing and screening candidates for hire.

- Establish and maintain a culture of safety.
- Ensure that employees are following safety procedures.
- Take appropriate disciplinary action for employees that are not following safety procedures.
- Document safety plans prior to each job.
- Fill out OSHA paperwork as necessary.

- Establish and maintain a routine cleaning program.
- Ensure employees are following the cleaning program.
- Keep the facility at a level of cleanliness that will allow for tours and inspections at all times.
- Take appropriate disciplinary action for employees that are not maintaining a clean and organized work space.
- Follow SOPs for making organic feed.
- Make sure SOPs are followed and documented.

Other Duties
- Periodic office maintenance and cleaning duties.
- Attend staff meetings and training meetings as scheduled.
- Follow all safety rules and practices and encourage coworkers to do the same.
- Regular, consistent attendance.
- Any and all other tasks and responsibilities as may be required by AMC.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have:
- Ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to move throughout the feed mill
- The ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders
- Manipulate (lift, carry and/or move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds
- Requires arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read.
- The employee is frequently required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
