Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a good Feed Mill Operator for a southwestern Idaho Feedlot. Prefer candidates currently working in this capacity who can hit the ground running. Prefer experience running a Tempering Mill for corn and wheat along with adjoining mill equipment: legs, augers, loaders, drags, feed trucks, etc. Person needs to communicate with owner, nutritionist, and other employees. Spanish speaking is essential, one who can communicate, lead by example, and schedule feeding of 10,000 head of cattle each day. Employer is looking for someone who is not afraid of tackling new projects and is willing to take on more responsibility as they are looking to more than double the cattle on feed in the next year or so. Currently work with a Nutritionist so this position will be all day-to-day operations; reading bunks, paying attention to details to get feed efficiency up and rate of gain cost down. This is a small family yard that is growing and has permits and a long-term plan to grow to 50,000 head. Wanting an employee who is stable, has a strong/diverse skill set, can be flexible to change and is willing to listen to new ideas, as well as having strong work references. Prefer a person with a passion for feeding cattle as profitably and efficiently as possible in southwest Idaho.
