- 3-5 years previous feedlot management experience or have worked in "lead-position" in feedlot

- Feedlot experience a must and finishing yard experience is preferred
- Good animal health skills, rations, reading bunks, knowing when cattle are off feed, keeping on schedule a must
- Operating loader, hauling manure and other equipment around the feedlot
- Handle routine maintenance and general repairs
- Good decision maker, communicator, team player, and good record keeping is essential
- College degree is a plus, but experience with a solid work history is better
- Willing and able to get CDL


Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a solid Working Feedlot Manager for this southwestern Nebraska feeder. Need experience in all feedlot duties; feeding, riding pens, spotting, pulling sick cattle, sorting cattle, vaccinating, yard maintenance, manure hauling, etc. Person must be dependable, have good decision making skills, be a self-starter and willing to assist in all areas of the operation, though the main focus of the position is working in the feedyard. This is a finishing yard, where cattle come in around 900-lb. Ideally the employer would like to see someone that has 3-5 years in a leadership position, running a crew in a feedlot, so they would have the knowledge and the experience for a position like this.
