- Feedlot experience with 5+ years in all areas of the feedlot is a must. Looking for a diverse individual.

- Good animal health skills, rations, reading bunks, keeping on schedule a must
- Operating feed wagon, loader, scale, hauling manure and other equipment around the farm
- Handle routine maintenance and general repairs. Carpentry, concrete, and/or electrical skills are a plus.
- Good farm equipment operating skills for support position in row crop, small grains, and silage.
- Good decision maker, communicator, team player, and good record keeper is essential. Experience in working with Performance Beef Analytics would be a plus.
- College degree is a plus, but experience with a solid & verified work history is better


Hansen Agri-Placement is in search of a diverse Feedlot Foreman, who will also jump in as needed as a Ranch/Farm Assistant for this northeast South Dakota employer. Need experience in feedlot duties of feeding, walking the yard, pulling sick cattle, sorting cattle, vaccinating and yard maintenance. Additional duties may include spring/fall tillage, manure hauling, and silage chopping and packing. Experience with a self-propelled chopper is a plus. Also, run 200+ commercial cow herd, so many times may be feeding in the morning and diverse duties in the afternoon between cows or some fieldwork. A person must be dependable, have good decision-making skills, be a self-starter and willing to assist in all areas of the operation. Good equipment operation skills would be a plus as this person will be used as more of a support role in farming when daily feedlot chores are completed. Ideally, the employer needs someone who has 5+ years working experience to bring some leadership, knowledge and upper skill set with them to this position. Salary will be dependent on experience, references, and stability. Great location for a spouse to find work, good schools, and a great community to raise a family in.
