- BSc. Agronomy degree required
- Minimum 1 season irrigated crop scouting experience
- Good knowledge/understanding of soil sampling and grid sampling, soil moisture probes
- Ability to make Ag chem and soil fertility recommendations preferred but not required
- Strong technology experience
- Desire to work outside
- Ability to work extended hours during Spring and Summer, possibly some weekends
- Solid mechanical aptitude beneficial

- Desire to reside/work in a small, rural community within an hours' drive of larger urban area offering shopping, restaurants and entertainment
- Individual with personal ties to Central Nebraska preferred but not required

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting an Established Central Nebraska Crop Consulting Business looking to add a Field Agronomist to their Team. In this role, you will provide reports to Senior Agronomist and Ag Growers regarding field conditions, plant health updates, irrigation and moisture conditions and any other observed concerns regarding crops by performing the following duties:

- Pre-Planting conditions
- Pre-Planting fertilizer recommendations
- Pre-Season weed identification and weed pressure for spraying recommendations
- Pre-Season herbicide recommendations
- Soil sampling, both composite and grid
- Pre-Season fertilizer consulting including cash flow and fertilizer options
- In-Season field scouting to include weed identification/weed pressure/weed control recommendations, insect identification/insect pressure/insect control recommendations, crop disease identification/crop disease pressure/crop disease control recommendations, moisture probing, irrigation scheduling and other recommendations needed for successful crop growth
- Post-Season field scouting to include soil temperature, seeding depth, insect identification and pressure, planting population and weed identification and pressure
