OB QUALIFICATIONS:

- MSc. Agronomy-related degree required; PhD beneficial
- Minimum 10 years of technical agronomy support experience from both academic research and commercial environment
- Knowledge of plant sciences, including experience with statistical and field trials
- Passionate about Ag analysis and focused on helping clients improve their products and/or processes
- Solid experience with Southeastern U.S. specialty crops
- Good knowledge / understanding of crop protection products currently in use in Ag production
- Team Leadership skill set with ability to direct a team of professional and production employees
- Sales or Sales Support experience
- Self-directed with sharp customer focus
- Excellent communication and technology skill set
- Command of the Spanish language beneficial
- Valid driver license and able to meet insurability standards
- Must be able to work legally in the U.S. without company sponsorship

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting a long-established Agronomy Services Provider seeking to hire a General Manager for their agronomic operations in the state of Florida. This employer offers a great working environment with fully trained staff in place, both professional and production, to support this General Manager. Primary duty will be to oversee an agricultural operation in terms of trialing patented agronomic products on Southeastern U.S. specialty crops. The ideal candidate will be part Scientist/part Manager/part Farmer and will have a passion for helping others improve their Ag products and/or processes. Additional duties to include:

- Overseeing contracted field trials under secrecy agreements
- Effectively utilizing area irrigation and best agronomic practices
- Completing reports on product or process findings
- Visiting regularly with clients in a timely fashion to share updates and results of findings
- Encouraging clients to consider additional, beneficial trials
- Visiting comfortably with area farmers
- Overseeing the facility including buildings and equipment
