Qualifications:

MUST HAVE CURRENT DAIRY EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION

- Previous Management Experience (Prefer someone that has operated their own dairy or managed for an owner
- Strong Youngstock/Heifer experience
- Previous experience working on a 1000+ cow dairy
- Supervising experience
- Leadership and motivational skills
- Strong Herd Health experience
- Calving experience
- Breeding experience
- Inventory / supplies
- Basic computer skills
- Dairy Spanish - prefer fluent


Job Description:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is representing a large dairy located in Virginia who is searching for a hands-on Herd Manager with strong leadership and motivational skills, for their operation. This position will be responsible for supervising employees, overseeing dry off and transition cows, youngstock, reproduction, genetic testing of newborn calves, herd health, and managing inventory and ordering supplies. Will also schedule and train employees. Must speak Dairy Spanish with a preference in fluent Spanish. Dairy uses DC Comp 305.
