WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT IN THIS ROLE:

This is an Exciting Hydroponic Growing Operation committed to utilizing Best Organic Production Practices to ensure a Healthier, Better Quality of Produce. As their Dynamic Hydroponic Agronomy Manager, you will have the ability to use your years of Organic Plant Production Experience to mentor a new generation of Organic Growers. You will work closely with peers and team members to define Fresh Produce Operational Goals, Standard Operating Procedures, Quality Control and Nurture a Collaborative Team Environment. You will Train Your Staff to Sharpen Their Skills to become Exceptional Fresh Produce Growers in the Organic space. You will also Collaborate with Various Team Members and Departments to Develop Exciting Projects Incorporating Organization Requirements, Insights and Feedback. Additionally, you will have Access to Latest Technologies and will work in a Progressive Organization and Industry that is Building Globally.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

- Lead an initial team of 10 organic growers
- Develop / Implement/ Manage SOP compliance and GAP for germination, planting, growing, harvesting and packaging of crops
- Ensure facility layout, buildings and equipment are designed, located and constructed for optimal plant growth and productivity
- Ensure that all crops are compliant to all regulatory and certification requirements for organic crops
- Participate as a Key Member on the Food Safety and Quality Teams
- Develop / Implement / Manage standards for key supply inputs and vendors
- Report to the Operations Manager

DO YOU HAVE:


- Team Leadership experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Horticulture, Agronomy or other Plant-based field
- Minimum 5 years Growing Experience in an Indoor Farm or Controlled Environment Agriculture space
- Fresh Produce experience...plant to harvest to packaging
- Organic Growing experience
- Strong Attention to Detail
- Effective Communication and Technology Skills
