Do you:

- Have a Masters in a Crop Science-related degree program PLUS a minimum 5 years related employment experience?
- Or, have a Bachelors degree in a Crop/Agronomy-related program PLUS a minimum 8 years related employment experience?
- Have a Certified Crop Advisor certification or have the ability to obtain your CCA within your first year of employment?

Do you have:
- Experience working with Ag Growers in the Precision Ag space?

- A desire to train/mentor a team of Precision Agronomists to achieve their sales and growth goals?
- A desire/willingness to participate in Ag grower sales calls assisting Precision Agronomists to close their sales?
- Solid agronomy research experience developing/implementing research protocols for purpose of new product development and support?
- Experimental design process experience?

- Excellent listening skills with ability to identify Ag grower needs and bring them on board with compelling value propositions for their farming operation?
- Strong writing, verbal and interpersonal skill set?

- Do you currently reside in the State of Iowa?

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting a Progressive Ag Services Provider seeking a Lead Technical Agronomist to support a team of Precision Agronomists located in the state of Iowa. This is a Sales Support role providing training/mentoring/guidance to the team as well as sharing topical agronomic insights during growing season. This individual will also support the Precision Ag tools offered by the Precision Agronomist team that provide state-of-the-art, leading edge agronomic insights into traditional agronomic principles with a focus on sub-field level agronomy.

Ideal individual will:
- Be a strategic thinker who can provide vision/mentorship/advice to his/her team
- Have a passion for serving the Ag grower and understand the importance of building strong relationships with key Ag grower accounts
- Have strong focus on growth while dedicating himself/herself to a true systems approach to agronomy that offers the Ag grower specific crop/soil management solutions as well as providing current data management and analytics of their crops and soil

Key responsibilities will be:
- Supporting Sales and Market Share Growth
- Advising on Crops
- Providing Field and Project Research

This organization is an Agronomy Technology company that provides Ag growers with customized/actionable strategies delivering sustainable outcomes at the sub-acre level. The company's independent, hands-on approach combines specific field data with trusted agronomic research. Agronomists located across the Midwestern Corn Belt are trained to provide precise agronomic recommendations to assist Ag growers in managing crop inputs and resources to maximize profitability and ROI in any given environment. This individual will join a team of Agronomy industry veterans who have experience within leading seed, fertilizer, Ag chem and Ag technologies organizations in the Ag sector. This individual will report directly to the CTO of the organization.
