QUALIFICATIONS:

- Prefer experience with both Cattle and Swine production
- Prefer experience and interest working with smaller cow herd of 80 hd
- Know cows and calves
- Calving, feeding, doctoring
- Good animal health skills
- Livestock pen maintenance
- Routine maintenance and upkeep of overall operation; fences, roads, facilities etc.
- Good communication skills
- Able to work in a team environment
- Good equipment operations and maintenance skills
- Need to be a self-starter
- Take direction and able to take on responsibility

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a good Livestock Assistant for this northwest Illinois farm. Need to find a person who is diversified in both livestock production, both swine and beef cattle. Ideal person will have good swine background and know cows and general cattle feeding background. Have general row crop experience and willingness to assist in some crop production preferred. Willing to train person who has a general swine and cattle background with a good attitude and who is willing and able to learn and jump in where and when needed in other parts of the operation. Person needs to be a self-starter and have the initiative to complete assigned tasks and move on to others without having to be told. Owner is searching for a good self-motivated person in this family friendly environment. This position is a good opportunity for a person to grow and be long-term.
