QUALIFICATIONS:

- 5+ years of livestock experience
- Animal health and doctoring skills required
- Solid routine maintenance and general repair skills of fencing, equipment, water systems, buildings and facilities
- Ability and desire to work hands-on alongside other farm personnel, but also ability to work independent with time management skills
- Above average Skid Steer and pull-type feed wagon skills
- Understanding of rotational grazing is a plus, not required
- Understanding of Electronic Identification scanning and scale equipment is a plus, not required



JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a Livestock Caretaker for this southwestern Kansas farm. This is a hands-on position and person needs to be able to work alone and with other employees on the farm. Person will also need to know and have a desire to perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, water systems, buildings, fences, and corrals. Candidate needs to take pride in their work and will be expected to develop a high level of responsibility in the care of the animals, the land, equipment and facilities. Person will oversee and manage about 700 ewes, but will also assist in crop production at times. The owner sells seed and may need help in delivery, pickup and inventory management with the seed business. This is an excellent opportunity for long-term employment.
