- 5+ years in Mechanics as well as introduction to farm production equipment operation
- Mechanically inclined through school or experience with torch & welding skills, strong maintenance skills,
- Strong communication skills, work ethic, and good attitude is a must

- Assist in the purchases of machinery, equipment, and supplies
- Enforce safety regulations and interpret policies
- Make decisions, solve problems, analyze information, and evaluate results
- Organizing, planning, and prioritizing work
- Facilitate communication with management
- Implement projects and strategies within the Farm Shop with due diligence
- Prioritize and delegate projects and oversee ongoing progress
- Adhere to internal policies and procedures
- Perform administrative duties as necessary

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a split hands-on Production Farm Mechanic and Farm Equipment Operator for a crop production operation in western Iowa.
Person will eventually oversee all maintenance issues around the Farm and Seed Corn processing center. Prefer 5+ years of experience on a larger-scale farm or past experience working with a seed farm. Person will need to not only have strong mechanic skills, but also the ability to fabricate and repair equipment back to Tip Top Shape. Have the ability to use a Torch & Welder. This operation has top of the line shop as well expects only top line work come out of the shop using high quality parts. Person is responsible for implementing safety policies and practices according to company standards. Shop Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining proper flow and scheduling through the shop as most equipment is prepared and ready 6 months in advance once you're aboard for the first year. The other part of the position will be field operation in assisting the Farm Production Manager in working the fields in season. Candidates need to know precision equipment. Prior crop production and Ag management experience, knowledge of modern row crop farming, including GPS are required. Candidates need to be personable and organized to lead a crew. Compensation depends upon experience. The operation is located near great schools and is close to town with major cities in close proximity.
