Job Description:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is representing an established agricultural business who are searching for an Operations Manager for their Washington operation. As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of product agricultural operations and supply activities at the local plant site. Using best in class safety principles and talent development, you will further develop and build a strong team of agriculture professionals best positioned to meet the current and future requirements of the region & department while making the department an inclusive, diverse and fun workplace. You will support the use and refinement of data systems to ensure successful delivery of breakthrough initiatives and optimal product raw material value, operational efficiency and consumer winning quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partnering with Product Supply Management, you will analyze local market intelligence, risk assessment and coordination of raw material purchase and utilization
  • Monitor, forecast, and coordinate the daily supply of raw material to aligned with facility need.
  • Lead and mentor the local field department staff
  • Support world class safety program through implementation of regional best practices.
  • Build strong strategic partnerships with local growers
  • Build on and develop current sustainable grower strategies
  • Support the Agriculture Manager, on development & realization of yearly SCA (savings) plan to maximize the growth agenda for Company and growing partners.
  • Support the Agriculture Manager, on yearly product contract strategies using updated economic cost of production models and understanding of the region's raw material volume and quality needs
  • Collaborate with the Ag Strategy team on Company’s new variety development program to optimize product quality and drive regional yield improvements.
  • Deliver breakthrough initiatives that optimize raw material value, operational efficiency and consumer winning quality
  • Develop and manage Fiscal Year department budgets
