- Must be an Australian citizen who is wanting to relocate back to Australia
- 5 years Experienced in dairy cattle palpation, including ovarian palpation, preg testing or AI Technician preferred.
- A recognized degree or Veterinary qualification is preferred but not essential

- Previous experience in assisted bovine reproduction
- Experience in Ovum Pick up techniques is a plus however full training will be provided.
- Availability to travel within Australia and overseas periodically – passport required
- Ability to accommodate flexible schedule based on seasonal volume demands
- AETA certification or Australian equivalent (MACVSc in Reproduction or Member of Australian Reproductive Veterinarians) a plus - assistance can be provided to obtain.

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is representing a animal genetics company with is searching for an OPU Bovine Technician to join their team. As an OPU Bovine Technician, the successful candidate will play an integral role in the company's all natural, hormone free IVF process that’s easier on animals and enables dairy and beef producers to make valuable genetic progress in their herds. Performing Ovum Pickup (OPU) and embryo implantation work from a purpose-built facility, where candidate will receive training on ultrasound based OPU techniques, and have the opportunity to work directly with clients and their animals to enhance reproductive outcomes. Key responsibilities include:

- Assess and aspirate oocytes from donor animals using the latest equipment and technology
- Implantation of embryos
- Evaluate and manage donor health and reproductive performance, as well as overall herd health
- Aid in achieving client’s goals by analysing performance results and making recommendations for improvement
- Uphold high standards of veterinary care and animal welfare
- Collaborate with customers and the entire team to manage production and laboratory demands
- Assist with training employees in OPU standard operating procedures, train and mentor field assistants
- Actively contribute ideas to improve processes and solutions to achieve better performance results
