Commission / Bonus: Bonus 25-30% of Income

- Solid potato crop production experience preferred

- Help oversee production employees
- Help coordinate work activities, such as planting, irrigation, chemical application, harvesting, record keeping, etc.
- Knowledge of soil analysis to determine type and quantity of fertilizer required for maximum production
- Inspection of equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Inspect fields to determine maturity dates of crops or to estimate potential crop damage
- Assist in the purchase of machinery, equipment, and supplies
- Help enforce safety regulations and interpret policies
- Make decisions, solve problems, analyze information, and evaluate results
- Good experience organizing, planning, and prioritizing work
- Monitoring and controlling resources and management of material resources


Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for an Assistant Farm Manager for a potato farm in southeast North Dakota. Person will help direct and oversee production employees and day-to-day operations. Really prefer 3-5 years of experience in production management. Will oversee equipment, production employees, irrigation, fertilizers, chemicals and other inputs on the farm. Implementing safety policies and practices according to company standards. Providing input in budget formulation, employee evaluations, establishing production standards, ensuring compliance with company policies and be responsible for maintaining proper personnel. Excellent location for career-oriented wife to also find work and/or passion for snow sports/hobbies in off-season. Need this person to work into the Farm Manager's position at end of 2019 season when current manager will retire.
