- Good animal husbandry, able to spot, diagnose and treat sick cattle
- Prefer good cow ranch experience
- Hard working, able to take direction
- Good attitude, dependable, trustworthy, and able to work in a team environment
- Good ag equipment maintenance and general repair skills
- Good ability to work with customers
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with tractor-trailer for hauling hay and cattle is a plus


Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a good Ranch Assistant for this northeastern North Dakota ranch operation. Must have good cow experience and prefer someone interested in purebred cattle, with some breeding experience. Need to have experience in calving and be able to work well with other people and have a strong work ethic, as this person will be working with numerous people and working long days during calving and heat detecting. Must be dependable and reliable. Will assist pasture counts, hay production, equipment maintenance, building & maintaining fences. In the summer they will help put up hay. Person must be dependable, have good decision making skills, be a self-starter and willing to assist in all areas of the operation. This is a purebred operation, so experience working with purebred in a developing yard, calving, record keeping, and fitting cattle for show and sale are pluses. Ideally the employer would like to see someone who has at least 3-5+ years working experience and knowledge. Great opportunity with a progressive operator.
