- Experience in hay production needed
- Really need irrigation experience, specifically center pivot irrigation experience
- Need an ambitious individual with solid hay production background
- Able to supervise couple employees during hay production
- Experience running small crew preferred
- Good equipment operating skills
- Strong communication skills and work ethic
- Reliable, responsible and dependable
- Have 3 years recent cow ranch experience
- Good cow/calf handling skills
- Good calving experience
- Good animal health and nutrition background
- Spot, diagnose, treat sick cattle
- Be hardworking and have a good attitude
- Ability to operate feeding equipment
- Routine maintenance and general repairs
- Good communications skills, honest, hardworking and dedicated to get the job done
- Must be team worker and prepared to assist other employees in any manner necessary to get job done
- Current driver's license


Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for experienced Ranch for this south-eastern Idaho ranch operation. Prefer to find a Ranch Assistant who can hit the ground running. Prefer 3-5 years related operational and supervisory experience overseeing grass and alfalfa hay production operations; putting up hay, managing water, storage, etc. to lead and prioritize the daily operation of hay production. This ranch normally has 3 cuttings per season, so planning, scheduling and project management experience is preferred. Person must have equipment operating skills and prefer hay storage management experience. Assist in all phases of ranch production; cow/calf production, calving, feeding, doctoring, fencing, and general upkeep of the ranch. Livestock care including feeding, doctoring, vaccinating, branding, calving, moving, shipping, sorting and receiving livestock. Horseback skills, including proper care of horses, for gathering and moving cattle on horseback are needed. This person will be responsible and accountable for quality compliance, environmental stewardship and inventory control, efficiencies with respect to labor, production, overhead and assist with operational budget. Must demonstrate clear integrity and a sense of ethics and responsibility to the ranch and its employees on a daily basis and serve as a model for others, while helping manage relationships with neighbors. Person must have knowledge of safety policies and procedures regarding chemicals and equipment/machinery. Person really needs good communication skills. Beautiful location close to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Park.
