Commission / Bonus: 0-$5,000, Dependent on job performance, 1-2 purebred Angus cows/year (details provided upon request)

- Strong cow/calf experience preferred
- Experience in animal health, backgrounding, and cattle finishing a plus
- Must handle cattle in a quiet manner
- A.I. experience is not necessary but would be a plus
- Ability to work well independently as well as with a team is a necessity
- Detail-oriented and good record-keeping skills a must


Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a good Ranch Herdsman for this western Nebraska ranch operation. Looking for owner's right-hand man. This person will lead by example and need to be a self-starter. Need this person to be able to motivate 2 full-time employees and be able to work as a team and have a strong work ethic, as this person will be working longer hours during calving and heat detecting. Must have good cow experience and prefer some A.I. breeding experience, though not required. Ranch will A.I. all their cows. Needs to have experience in calving and doctoring. Owner would like to find person he can rely on, so when he's traveling he knows the ranch is being cared for. Must be dependable and reliable, and have good work stability. Will be responsible for animal husbandry and pasture rotation for ranch's mature cow herd. Position provides a family friendly atmosphere. Nice location and good people to work for.
