QUALIFICATIONS:

- Need to have irrigation experience with Pivot operation and maintenance in addition to side rollers (wheel lines)
- Experience in Regenerative Ag and Rotational Grazing is highly desirable and will support further education on these topics
- Honest, hardworking, dependable, independent thinking, with good communication skills and ability to problem solve
- Strong routine maintenance & general repair ability is a much needed asset
- Experience with hay equipment desirable
- Strong fencing skills of barbwire & electric is preferred
- Prefer good general cow ranch background
- Cattle are normally worked with ATV but a horse is optional if it fits in with their program; no stock dogs used

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a Ranch/Hay Manager for an operation in east central Oregon. Manager will report directly to the Owner and will oversee one full-time employee, so they need to be good working with people. Honesty and good communication is most important. This person will help assist in all areas of the ranch, but the main focus will be working with the cows during calving, building fence, manage rotational grazing, operate irrigation for hay production and grass pasture, equipment operation and maintenance. Salary is dependent on experience. Possible some PT work for spouse. Good roads and close to a village with K-12 school. Other shopping is less than an hour drive.
