- Require Registered Angus Management Experience
- 10-15 years ranch industry
- Need 3-5 years in management of 500+ cows
- Solid cow/calf ranch background
- Really prefer proficiency with A.I.
- Excellent animal health skills
- Team player/motivator
- Good hay production background
- Handle maintenance and general repair
- Needs an outstanding person with good ranch operations and management background, including multiple employees and range experience
- Need to be a good communicator with both employees and management


Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for an experienced Registered Angus Ranch Manager for this Montana ranch operation. This is a WORKING MANAGER POSITION. Require person who's currently or recently a Ranch Manager for a Registered Angus operation. Need minimum 3-5 years in management. Manager will have direct husbandry duties and leading other production employees. Needs to be self-motivated and able to motivate others. Practical experience with herd management, nutrition, equipment, asset management, property maintenance and management are required.

Ranch Manager Responsibilities include:
- Health: Nutrition, vaccination protocols, doctoring/diagnosing, breeding, calving, proper tagging, commercial herd, maintain cattle records, culling, etc.
- Improvements: Maintain corrals, sheds and other buildings, fences, roads, maintain trucks, equipment, build/implement new improvements
- Cattle Movement: Move/keep cattle where they are supposed to be, range health, manage for excellent up-trending range health, keep grazing chart record
- Financial: help draft annual operating budget, stay within budget, labor management, lead/direct employees, manage part time, seasonal, & day help. Managing with a TEAM approach, creating a positive environment, meet with Management to review progress on goals, actuals vs. budget, etc.
- Innovate: Be progressive minded with a willingness to adopt improved methods of beef production

They must be organized, self-motivated, and detail oriented in feeding, calving, artificial insemination, irrigation, hay production, equipment operation, minor welding, general maintenance, oversight, and simple mechanic work. Must be a team player that works with others while helping to improve the overall Ranch operation. Degree is preferred, but not a requirement.
