- Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety or closely related field preferred
- Certified Safety Professional or membership in nationally recognized safety organization preferred.

- 3-5 years safety and health experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Safety/Compliance regulations (OSHA, EPA, USDA, FDA, DOT, etc)
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Docs
- Ability to travel to meet organizational needs

- Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, presentations, teaching others)
- Demonstrated ability to work with others and to lead the implementation new policies as required.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, climb ladders and steps and occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to work some weekends.

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting an established Ag Employer in their search for a Safety and Compliance Director for their Nebraska operation to lead the implementation of a prevention-focused environmental, health, safety, and security program. The position positively impacts EHS culture through sustained, continuous improvements. Uphold the commitment to Zero OSHA recordable injuries, process safety events (Tier 1 & 2) and Notice of Violations. Ensure full compliance with regulatory agency standards and state and/or federal mandates.


- Plan, Design, implement and evaluate health and safety programs to promote a safe work environment.
- Represent the company during regulatory audits by outside agencies and accompany any inspector(s)
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Federal and State laws, regulations and standards

- Establish strategies that support Safety, Health, Environmental, Security and Crisis Preparedness objectives.
- Perform Hazard Analysis, maintain records, complete audits and file reports, updating of technical documents.
- Present new-employee safety orientation and training; conduct new-hire drug testing
- Maintain company random drug testing program

- Coordinate the regular presentation of safety training for all employees
- Serve as chairperson of the safety committee, prepare and conduct quarterly safety meetings.
