QUALIFICATIONS:

- BSc. Agronomy, Sales, Marketing or other Ag-Related degree
- Highly Trainable with some Sales experience within the Ag market place
- Account Management with ability to track customers through the Sales process preferred
- Business Development or Project Management experience within the Ag industry also beneficial
- Strong experience with leafy green crops such as lettuce and strawberries a MUST
- Computer Savvy with solid Technology experience
- Customer-Focused with Excellent Communication Skills
- Ability to Listen to Growers and to Build People Up
- Team Player working closely with PCA Agronomist as well as other Team Members
- Ability to travel the state of California and to Arizona
- Attending trade shows, expos and sales events as necessary

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is seeking a Sales / Business Development Coordinator for a Progressive Plant Genomics Company catering to Ag growers in the Salinas Valley area of California and in Arizona. This individual will play a key support role within the Sales team and will be responsible for both inbound and outbound sales, marketing and business development for new and established customers. This individual will demonstrate sales experience in Agricultural technology and will report directly to the Regional Sales Manager.

Primary duties to include:
- Building / Maintaining strong key relationships and customer contracts with Growers, Grower-Shippers and Grower-Shipper-Packers
- Identifying up-sell, cross-sell and new value propositions for enterprise customers
- Initiating, managing and leading marketing efforts for company product line
- Providing customer guidance to Product Team as necessary
- Organizing Field Days and Grower Meetings for educational, sales and marketing purposes
- Representing company at conferences, expos and sales events
- Monitoring competitive activities and trends in the marketplace
