Job Description:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is representing an Agricultural Company who are seeking a Sales Manager to lead their sales team and also cover a territory. The Sales manager will directly supervise all sales team members in the Ag Product Sales Department. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; address complaints and resolving problems. Must have excellent people skills and be comfortable speaking with farmers and livestock operations.

Essential Duties & responsibilities include:
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
  • Participates in sales forecasting and manage inventory of complete units for sale.
  • Manage staffing levels and schedule regular product and sales technique training.
  • Assign sales territory to sales representatives, establish sales quotas and goals for territories.
  • Represent the company at trade shows to promote product.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing staff to develop marketing strategies.
  • Analyze and control expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.
  • Prepare periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and area of proposed client base expansion.
  • Participate in the product research and development group, providing emphasis on conveying overall market direction, customer design and option requests.
  • Review monthly, quarterly and annual sales and commission reports for accuracy.
  • Manage the sales process from quoting to delivery and coordinates with other departments to insure customer needs are met after the sale.
  • Utilize and maintain CRM software to log sales calls, customer meetings, product demonstrations & prospecting efforts.
