QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor degree, preferably in an Ag Science program such as Agronomy, Biology, Chemistry or a Business program
- Ag background and/or a deep passion for the Agricultural industry
- Performance-Driven
- Minimum 5 years of Sales and/or Marketing Leadership, preferably within a smaller Ag organization within the Fertilizer industry
- Established Ag distribution channel network and contacts in place
- Solid knowledge / understanding of fertilizer and the Fertilizer industry
- Technical disposition with ability to understand / sell Ag products based on performance capability
- Ability to understand and analyze relevant information to drive data-informed strategies and decisions
- Self-directed with desire to take on a challenging role
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to innovate and implement change successfully
- Solid computer skills and awareness of web-based marketing and social media
- Ability to travel to 50% of time

DESCRIPTION:
Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is currently seeking an ambitious and highly skilled Sales & Marketing Director with a proven record of exceptional, transformative management practices. This individual will provide oversight/management of the sales and marketing duties before eventually creating a team of sales and marketing personnel.

In this role, you will have tremendous opportunities to develop innovative policies and campaigns that will shape the future of the organization of our client. Candidates for this role will be creative, charismatic, exceptionally well-versed in the latest sales and marketing techniques, as well as tried and true sales practices, and will have a technical base of knowledge with regard to agricultural fertilizers/crop nutrition. Additionally, in this role, you will be tasked with:

- Developing, from scratch, a sales & marketing plan for the new division of an established Agricultural organization
- Implementing effective sales tactics and working hands-on to establish and grow market share for the product
- Representing product at industrial trade shows
- Working to set the precedent for excellence by leading by example
- Cultivating established client relationships and partnerships that add value
- Hiring/Developing/Retaining top sales talent
- Successfully meeting and/or surpassing sales goals
- Staying up-to-date on current market trends within industry
- Creating engaging marketing pieces including advertisements, e-mails and promotional literature to creatively reach more potential customers
- Continually assessing marketing techniques and their efficacy in affecting sales performance
- Performing revenue forecasting while keeping owner of business advised
- Working cross-functionally with Chief Agronomy Officer to foster collaboration

This individual will serve as a member of the executive leadership team.
