QUALIFICATIONS:

- BSc. degree in Agriculture, Marketing or other related discipline
- Professional Vegetable Seed Sales and Product Development experience, ideally 10+ years
- Management or Senior-Level experience
- Good knowledge/understanding of Vegetable crops
- Field work such as product development and sales experience
- Solid organizational and coordination skills
- Strong communicator and negotiator
- Good problem-solving and resolution-finding abilities
- Ability to perform market research through available means such as website
- Ability to work efficiently with culture different than own
- Professional behavior to follow regulation and company compliance and policy
- Computer proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint required
- English-speaking and writing skills necessary; other language skills beneficial

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting an International Horticultural Organization looking to add a Vegetable Seed Sales Representative to their Oceania Sales Team. In this role, you will provide technical horticultural expertise across Australia and New Zealand by performing the following duties:
- Conducting Seed Sales calls on targeted customers within territory

- Assisting Agronomists/Crop Specialists with calling on key accounts
- Growing Seed business by implementing company goals and objectives
- Developing profitable business relationships with customers
- Providing leadership for the development and/or implementation of Vegetable Seed trials and support needs
- Assisting with and implementing Vegetable Seed Sales strategies that generate profitable sales
- Implementing innovative Vegetable Seed Sales programs and pricing strategies
- Participating in selected Sales activities, i.e., customer meetings, trade shows, sales meetings to keep abreast of sales trends and current sales environment
- Creating and managing farm proposals by providing value-added Seed products, services and recommendations on a frequent basis
- Expediting the resolution of customer issues
- Keeping accurate Sales and Prospecting activity records
- Maintaining current knowledge/understanding of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends
- Completing/Maintaining a competitive analysis for all key competitors
- Quoting prices, preparing sales contracts for obtained Sales Orders and promoting the use of credit programs as a Sales tool as necessary
- Providing information to customers to establish credit
- Working with Microsoft Office applications and other proprietary software to enhance business processes and optimize efficiency

Other Duties:
- Maintaining industry and university contacts to keep informed on developing trends and product introductions within territory

- Creating/Participating in presentations during customer meetings and trade shows as necessary
- Maintaining the assigned vehicle to company standards
- Following company policies and procedures
- Performing all other duties as assigned
